This is the mark of the conservation professional: it distinguishes those of us who are experts in the field from those that are not.
Several organisations offer certification or accreditation in conservation - for example Structural Engineers or Architects - but the RICS was the first to do so. Applicants must prove their competence through training and experience and undergo assessment from a panel of peers, answering questions on their submission, skills and experience.
It’s a rigorous process but essential to ensure that the qualification is upheld and so that prospective clients can be sure of our training, skills and dedication to Building Conservation.
