MRICS and Regulated by RICS: what does this mean?

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is a professional body promoting and enforcing the highest international standards in the valuation, management and development of land, real estate, construction and infrastructure

Individual members undergo rigorous training and assessment to earn their full membership. This assessment is of a candidate’s technical expertise but also important topics such as ethics and client care. If they are successful, they become Chartered Surveyors and may use the post-nominals MRICS.

Chartership of individual Surveyors (MRICS) is important as it means that as a client you can be sure of a professional service, technical expertise, and open and honest advice.

For firms, regulation is even more important - this means that to qualify the company must be run in an open and honest way and have various safeguards to ensure that the Clients’ interests and financial safety are protected at all times. At Bosence Associates we take this very seriously and we have protocols in place to ensure compliance with the regulations.
